On ... Label Rouge Chicken Ancenis
A story of farmers! Rather than our farmers, we should talk about our farmers because still today, our farms are held mostly by women as in the pastures of yesteryear. And when we question the old farmers of the Pays d'Ancenis about their practices, they proudly tell us that their production was geared towards the raising of grain chickens. They were raised in the open air, fed mainly on cereals produced on the farm and returned in the evening to barns where perches were waiting for them. This production was marketed on the markets (notably that of Ancenis) or else, reserved for very particular occasions like threshing or weddings where the chicken of Ancenis had proud look on the tablecloths. Regularly the caucassier went on the farms to buy chickens, rabbits and eggs. This small business was important because it allowed the farmers to provide themselves with necessary products at home and that were not produced on the farm such as candles, oil, soap ... Today, our farmers perpetuate this tradition with the same gestures, the same practices as formerly like to throw wheat on the ground, to offer a meadow to frolic and perches to rest, to observe with particular attention to the good development of our poultry. The peculiarity of our farmers Ancenis is to combine respect for old practices and modern livestock. But beware, the excellence of poultry Ancenis through a perfect control of hygiene conditions, the strict application of breeding rules; thus a regularity of the farm poultry of Ancenis is assured.
Today, our farmers continue this tradition with the same gestures, the same practices as before ... These characteristics of breeding benefit from an official European recognition since our Poultry of Ancenis enjoy a Protected Geographical Indication ( IGP) t more than 50 medals in 15 years of General Competition.

On a confidential and artistic level, I wanted to select ARTCHEVAL which is the essential exhibition of autumn in contemporary art. The works and creations (paintings, sculptures, drawings, paintings, photographs ...) of French and international artists are available free of charge at the Bouvet-Ladubay Contemporary Art Center.

Then ARTCHEVAL comes out of its walls and offers visitors its festival OFFCHEVAL from 14 October to 7 January 2018. About twenty places saumurois open to the public - restaurants, hotels, shops, sights ... - you will discover the works of talented artists on the theme of horse and riding.
And we are obviously there with the magnificent creations of Jacques BLEZOT. Come see us !

We have the pleasure ofregularly welcome the artists who come to perform as part of the Cultural Season of the Saumur Agglomeration.
And what was our happiness and pride to receive the jubilant FORK group, invited to the Launch Party 2017 / 2018. This Finnish band has reinvented pop rock a cappella. Do not look for instruments on stage ... there are none! Every sound that comes to you, from these incredible choruses to guitar riffs, is produced by the human voice.
An electro party that starts ... I take as proof the photos attached! I let you discover them from every angle ... fun!
And to finish this Newsletter, I allow myself to report to you the words of Silvio Pacitto, Director of the Théâtre Le Dôme & Director of Cultural Affairs of the Saumur Val de Loire Urban Community which transports us into his world for a few sentences ... pure poetic happiness ... to show you the richness of our local programming.
"For this season, I propose to put away, let go and at the same time be part of the beauty of the world, the suffering and hope of men. With more than 70 shows including 3 operas, 8 associated artists including 2 poets, 4 company residencies, dozens of singular appointments including public hello readings and spectator school, we want your Theater to be a living house , open to creation and especially to poetry. It is from this desire that will be born in November 2017 the Contemporary Poetry Meeting Center of the Dome with the promise of sharing strong, supportive and invigorating. Yes, poetry will save the world and at least save it already from its indignity, as Jean-Pierre Simeon reminds us. Yes, Culture demands that we have a sustainable reasoning because nothing can be done without time and if indeed we are charged with the inheritance of the world ... then it will take the form that we will give it!
