Green Key

The Hôtel Le Londres is proud to be labeled Green Key, the first international environmental certification dedicated to tourist accommodation. This label reflects our concrete commitment to more responsible tourism: responsible energy and water management, waste reduction, eco-friendly cleaning products, short supply chains, raising awareness among staff and customers… Through this approach, we combine comfort and respect for the environment, so that every stay is both pleasant and sustainable.

We invite you to discover our Environmental Charter and learn more about the Green Key label by visiting their website.

Accessibility

Desiring to welcome as many people as possible, Charlotte and François have long thought about the possibility of making the hotel accessible to everyone.

Since 2017, it's been done!

10 spaces on our private car park (including 1 dedicated to Persons with Reduced Mobility) allow direct access to the hotel via the passenger lift which connects the car park to the hotel terrace and thus to the reception.

4 beautiful bedrooms have been fitted out on this level, all with private terraces, 2 of which are accessible to disabled people.

Elevator

And since August 1st, 2023, the London has been equipped with an elevator!

This one serves the first two floors and is done in our British decor in an admirable way...

Our two apartments, located on the 3rd and top floor, require you to carry your luggage to the top level. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance.

If you are in a wheelchair, please let us know before your arrival so that we can direct you to the rooms on the ground floor.

The Originals Cooperative

The Hotel Le Londres is a member of The Originals – Human Hotels & Resorts, a unique cooperative that unites more than 300 independent hoteliers in France around a common vision: to offer a genuine hospitality, human and local while maintaining the independence of each owner.

Saumur Tourism
 Loire by bike

In the heart of the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Saumur is an ideal stop on the Loire à Vélo (Loire by Bike), the legendary 900-km cycle touring route. Easily accessible, the town offers numerous loops between vineyards, the banks of the Loire, and troglodyte villages—a soothing ride to the rhythm of the water and the wind.

Among the highlights, the route to Gennes or even to Angers (approximately 60 km) reveals breathtaking panoramas, vineyards, and cultural attractions – all without excessive effort, except for the climb to admire the Château de Saumur. For those who enjoy slow tourism or e-bikes, the dedicated infrastructure makes the experience easy. With cycling services (rentals, equipped train stations, and bike-friendly accommodations), Saumur offers visitors a stay that combines discovery, comfort, and a relaxed pace – a gentle and authentic escape in Anjou.

Consume Locally

In London, local consumption is not a trend, it is a convictionEvery morning, breakfast pays homage to the producers of Anjou: artisanal jams, local honeys, market fruits, regional cheeses… and above all our fresh baguettes from Joseph bakery and our delicious pastries from the two-hundred-year-old La Duchesse Anne pastry shop.

This commitment not only supports the economy of the territory, but also offers our guests a more real, more flavorful, more human experience.

By choosing to consume locally, Le Londres strengthens its ties with Saumur and its surroundings and invites its visitors to do the same for a stay rooted in authenticity.
