School is over !
This early July heralds the end of classes and the start of the well-deserved summer vacation for all. We think very much of our students and their results of Bac, Brevet and other exams before being able to take full advantage of the beautiful summer days. It is also the beginning of the departures on vacation and we look forward to welcoming new French and foreign tourists (we hope so!) in our beautiful Saumur region ...
Many events are coming up in our beautiful city in order to entertain as many people as possible with the Effervescences Programming. The headliners are also back with The Carousel July 17th et Anjou Vintage Bike which will finally take place the last weekend of August, the 27th, 28th and 29th.
But let's get to the basics that concern us: a July menu that you won't be able to resist. Fresh salmon, a poultry curry and a risotto… I know these are your favorite dishes… Embellished with a starter and a dessert that I let you discover and voila, you will still enjoy yourself.

Focus on the 1001 Nights Curry
This Curry is one of the great specialties of the Thiercelin House. Living Heritage Company, family and bicentenary, this House is specialized in the manufacturing and creation of rare natural flavors. Heir to a unique ethic, tradition and know-how, the Thiercelin family has been working and transforming for 7 generations: saffron, spices, herbs, vanilla and condiments from the finest regions.
But let's come to our curry… To become a good cook in India, you have to master the art of mixing spices. The mixes vary by region and the foods they accompany. Thiercelin even offers a nice range of Indian Curry blends including the great classics: Bombay and Madras. Above all, you have to know that the word "Curry" means sauce. It refers to the cooking technique of simmering food with spices in water to make a sauce. You can replace the cooking water with coconut milk which will serve as cooking juice for your food while adding a touch of island sweetness.
The 1001 Nights Curry that accompanies our July poultry is a delicious bouquet of flavors, an explosion of colors, an awakening of the taste buds in homage to the mating season..
